As if aware that they are about to return to reality, they welcome the dawn with hurried coupling, one last chance to enjoy each other before going their seperate ways.
Lily has already explained to him that opening the shop today is a true public service. Not only are they usually closed on Sundays, but she's opening at 6am to accomodate Mike's club and the other clubs and riders that are coming through town for the charity run.
She has also, without expecting an immediate reply, given him her cell phone number and invited Logan to spend Memorial Day with her and Grizzly.
The fog hangs heavy over the complex as he drops her off at her truck, a lonely sentinel in the Phoenix's parking lot. They are all alone in the grey chilly morning and he traps her against the truck with the length of his body, pulling a last hungry kiss from her lips. It's easy to be alone with Lily. But the real world is always right outside the door, waiting.
She is reluctant to let him go, but doesn't want to show it. She'd never let him see how she's already starting to need him. Kiss of death. So she puts her hands on his chest and pushes. "Get off me. I've got work to do."
"Yeah, okay." Logan steps back giving her room to get into her truck. Angles his head to look at her as she rolls down the window, despite the coolness of the outside air. His hand automatically feels in his pocket for a cigar, but he's run through the last batch and comes up empty. He moves to his bike, straddles but doesn't start it, waiting for the sound of her engine, making sure it will start.
"Let me know about tomorrow." She's trying not to pressure him, but it's only fair that he doesn't leave her hanging. Hey, for all he knows, she could make plans with someone else. Andy could be home or....
"Yeah, I'll let you know," he nods, zipping his jacket against the cold as he balances the bike between his long legs. "Have a good day, Lil."
Right now, that's the most he can give her. Keep it light. No promises. But out of respect, he won't leave her hanging any longer than he has to. He owes her at least that much and he knows it. Funny thing to feel a responsibility to someone. It's a feeling he hasn't experienced in a long time.
