And now she's called him 'Drover,' too. While her mistaken recognition seems friendly enough, whoever this Drover is, Logan is less thrilled this time to be mistaken for the guy. Maybe it's the lack of kissing?
He feels Ann stiffen slightly beside him. Is it this woman's presence or her mention of the man, Skinner? Even with his ultra-acute senses, Logan can't tell. But even after knowing Ann only a short time, he's already feeling a little protective of her.
He sits back and looks her over. She's pretty, svelte, and brings a new accent into the mix. She meets his gaze unwaveringly, hint of an expectant smile playing at the corners of her lips.
"The name," he tells her, "is Logan."
