Franki...I sit there reading the thread and screaming at the screen "...Stop looking for excuses - grab that man and nail him down quick "(and yes, it might require a little bit of imagination but after all, he's injured- not dead!). I adore the interplay of these two, with Franki always struggling with her self-esteem and Bud struggling to find ways to articulate what he wants her to understand. There is something so innocent about Bud( as well as elemental). I have always thought that - and it is brought out very beautifully here. There is something so vulnerable about Franki for all her toughness. You could not think of a more intriguing pair than these two. And the coup de grace is the the doggy diva herself. How perfectly delicious that it is her approval of Bud that finally carries the day for Franki! The visual of Bud and the little girly dog is so hilarious!

Logan and Lily - plus all the other brilliant characters in this (Todd Sweeney was a hoot!) - I am amazed by the intensity and the hypnotic appeal of the attraction between these two. You are managing to portray screen-melting sexuality with a different kind of hunger beneath the facade of wild passion. Both Lily and Logan have deeper needs and seem to be swept away by a recognition that this time there is something different on offer. But is her uncle right? Does Lily need danger to be truly fulfilled, much like her grandmother? Is Logan trying to attain some normality that he could never sustain? Much as I am drooling over the sex, these are the elements that are drawing me deeper and deeper into this exploration....a real tour de force, both of you!! (and I do so love the glimpses of Colin, wryly observing it all in his laconic way!)

And there there is Drover and Ann...well, the stories alone are such a fabulous bonus for us, starved for so long from the story development of thread activities. I still haven't finished reading them and will comment separately but I love the way the revelations of their pasts are woven into their discovery of each other in the present. Ann, so wounded and guarded, unable to trust her instincts, and Drover trying to deal with finding himself in this reality, dealing with the loss of his past and those he had come to love - and confusion at where he stands....but interspersed with the glorious passionate lovemaking, which is really throwing Ann, I think. She can cope with transitory sexual encounters even of great intensity (Jeremy, anyone?) but every time she falls into this with Drover, she is experiencing something a little different - where will this go? Meanwhile, we have Terry hanging about....

John and Clarity...and now East is back in the picture. Time to get moving on this story because it has all the makings of my favourite kind of 'Comedy of Errors...'I love that sort of story especially when there is an element of impending tragi-comedy in the mix...

As ever John Nash and Kathy are delightful - and John's annoyance at Kathy's relationship with Gene is intriguing. I love it when John is treated as a strong man - which he is - and shown as having quite the same reactions to things as every other man. We know he has his illness to deal with - but it does not define everything about him. That's the joy of this vision of Nash - and I loved the cyber sex...so John...so Kathy...so sexy and romantic - and funny too!!
