Dunno about the resident queen of the warren, but I LOVE that picture. Might even have it in my favorites folder at DA. So imaginative and so well executed.
Love the soft sepia tones and the gentle curves of the details. Theme is right up my alley, too! LOL
Speaking of well-executed- could I be any more pained for some of our broken couplings in New World? I think not. From such romantic heights to terribly sad depths, you keep me hanging on to every precious word. Our happier couples though, are no less beautiful and touching, as they keep the hope that love really does conquer all, and that it's attainable and worth holding onto through troubles and joys both. Brava, all!!

There have been a lot of challenges on the board lately, you're right. Good times, bad times... happiness found and hearts lost... I celebrate the joys and
hurt for the losses.
That said, I don't know that anything has recently moved me (nearly to tears) the way that Lily and Ann watching Logan's DVD has. I was torn between savoring every word and rushing on greedily to the next paragraph, eager to read what would happen next, to share in the rollercoaster of emotions that came with each new discovery that Lily made, to be moved as she was moved, seeing a story that I love through her eyes and heart. Ann and Drover, I just don't know what to do with you two. (Wish you could both see me shaking my head at your stubborness and the amazing ability that each of you has for getting in your own way!) John and Clarity - so sweet! Terry and Uma, nice to see old bonds renew and strengthen. Mike - finally showing us some of what makes him the special man and Ralph doing the same in his own, strong yet sensitive way. Peyton making a splash at the Phoenix. Ben maybe working his magic on Donata? Karina, opening old wounds but perhaps using it as a way to heal? Kathy and Nash and Egan and Tulip struggling to find their footing in the face of so much love and caring! Anyone that I've overlooked, it's not for lack of loving you. Call it a "case of the Mondays." I love this group of talented writers and understand that it takes a village - call it Big Sur or DBB - to tell these incredibly crafted and intricately intertwined stories. I thank you all for what you share - your time, your talent, your selves. |

but yes, what I've read so far broke my heart indeed, got me intrigued, surprised me, made me worry, gave me hope, made me smile…. Such a variety of
